Fan Sweepstakes Winner has the Time of his Life!
Jason White and sister Kelly joined Nancy and the SportsBlast
team at the track to enjoy a full weekend of events as winners
of the Kellys Sweepstakes.
Jason was our big sweeps
winner, chosen at random from among nearly 20,000 entrants
gathered in less than a three week period.
He hails from New Orleans and “lost everything”
in the one two punch of Katrina and Rita. “This couldn’t
have come at a better time,” said Jason when he got
over the idea that the call to tell him he was in victory
lane was a prank. “Are you for real?! I’ve never
won anything in my life.”
It was about as real as it could get and the Kellys team
at Nascar.com provided Jason and his guests with tickets to
all the races from the Gatorade 125s through the Daytona 500.
But it’s all about access! In addition, Jason was able
to get a tour of the garage area and even get into a practice
session when the pit was hot.
Nancy and Kellys producer Peter Kjenaas toured around the
track with Jason and Kelly on both Saturday and Sunday, taking
in the infield, Fan Zone and even the Television compound.
“I don’t want to go home!” said Jason.
It’s easy to see why that would be since, like so many
others in New Orleans, home is a big unknown.
